Home/ Welcome!
Hello! I am a Y8 geography student and welcome to my coniferous forest website! In this website, there will be pages about the wildlife, vegetation, climate, soil, location and distribution.
A coniferous forest, which can also be called taiga, is one of the largest biome on earth. What do I mean by biome? A biome is a naturally occurring community of plants and animals occupying a major habit. There are many types of biomes in this world, but the eight major ones are tundra, dessert, rainforest, tropical grassland, deciduous forest and coniferous forest. All of them have different animals and plants living in their habitat. The coniferous forest is the largest terrestrial biome in the world, but it can also blend in with other biomes such as temperate and deciduous forests.
Note: Please remember that I am only an Y8 student, NOT an expert.
